TECH EXPERIENCE

ACAPPELLA AT THE ROCK

Acappella at the Rock was a yearly festival that consisted of several acappella groups from various locations across the East Coast. This festival also featured guest touring groups such as The House Jacks, VoicePlay, and Street Corner Symphony. I worked as a sound assistant and A2 each year for four years (2016-2019) performing duties such as setting up and striking stage microphones, running mic checks for each group, and ensuring that handheld microphones were assigned correctly. Along with doing tech, I was also a performer. Our high school group utilized in-ear monitors, and I was responsible for checking channels and ensuring the smooth transition into using these pieces of equipment.

SOCK 'N' BUSKIN

Sock 'n' Buskin was my high school theatre group that has performed on national stages such as the International Thespian Festival held annually. During my time with the group I assisted with the sound board, performed, and performed other technical duties unrelated to sound. Some of the technical duties that I was assigned were tasks related to categories of lights, building the set, costuming, and projections.

CABARET

Displays work with sound (i.e. mapping out stage microphones and balancing live mixes), building minimal style set pieces, and projections. The gallery features media from multiples cabaret shows between 2016 and 2019.

DIVINERS

This show in particular was chosen to be performed at The International Thespian Festival in the 2017-2018 school year. Displays work with projections, building portable set pieces, and sound (i.e. setting up sound sequences, attaching microphones to performers, and performing mic checks).

NOISES OFF

Displays work with revolving, dynamic set as well as work with sound in a more comedic, loud setting. I took charge of bouncing tracks on the sound board and attaching microphones to the performers.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH CHOIR PROGRAM

Council Rock High School North offered a range of choir groups at their school including a symphonic choir, acapella group, advanced choir group, and more. During my time with the school I assisted with setting up stage microphones and performing mic checks for each concert. I was also a part of a team that was responsible for setting up and striking the entire stage for every event in and outside of the choir program. Along with these tasks I was also tasked with equipping the instrumentalists with the correct microphones during performances. The choir program also competed in several different competitions requiring audio recordings of songs which can be seen by clicking the Projects page.
